The Bright Start Story

After  life long experience in hospitality management and operations, our Approved Provider, Ashleigh; decided to tread her own path from the family business she grew up in and pursue a career in Early Childhood Education.

Upon completing a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and being a proud graduate of the first class of students from University of Newcastle's Central Coast campus, Ashleigh has continued to learn, grow and put her passion into practice for the best interest and outcomes of the children in her care. 

With almost 25 years in the industry, Ashleigh has undertaken both teaching, mentoring, management and operational roles in a variety of settings ranging from early childhood, primary school, individual tutoring, and adult education; in both private and not-for-profit sectors. This has led to many professional and personal connections both in Australia and internationally, after 4 years spent in the United Kingdom.

Being given the opportunity of becoming the approved provider of Bright Start Preschool in August 2016, has been both a personal and career highlight for Ashleigh.

Coming from a close family unit and always believing that 'family comes first' it is this ideal that is embedded within the Bright Start Philosophy and evident in the interactions and relationships promoted between educators, children and families.

The main aim of the Bright Start is to create a nurturing and homelike environment where all children are able to grow and thrive; along with their families feeling supported and respected.  While our story is only short at the moment, there are big plans for the future. We are looking forward to bringing all our educators, children and their families on our journey.
