Transition To School

  We believe that 'school readiness' is a process that begins as soon as children start at Bright Start, regardless of their age or what room they are in. 

It is the process of learning to identify and look after your own belongings, being confidant in relating to your peers and asking for help from teachers and separating easily from your parents at the beginning of the day. 

Of course it also includes those vital pre literacy and numeracy skills which are incorporated into all aspects of our program here at Bright Start  

Educators work with local schools and the Department of Education Transition to School Co-Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition to school for all our children. More information on this program can be found on our  links page.
