Just Doing What We Do

We are proud of who we are and what we do. While it is always lovely to be recognised and celebrated, at the end of the day, we’re simply doing what we do best — putting our children and their families at the heart of everything we do.

These are some of the special moments, achievements and milestones that have happened at Bright Start. Each one is a reflection of the passion, dedication and care of our incredible team, and the wonderful children and families who make our community so special.

We don’t do what we do for recognition — we do it because we genuinely care. But when those special moments come along, it’s certainly nice to pause, celebrate and appreciate just how far we’ve come together.

2026 Central Coast Business Awards

Last night the Central Coast Local Business Awards were held at Mingara.

The team got glammed up and went to celebrate with other early childhood services and businesses on the central coast and guess what …….

Bright Start was announced as

Most Outstanding Early Childhood Service

While we were up against many wonderful and unique services; and would have been happy for their educators and families should they have won; our amazing team and all they do was recognised as being the best in the coast for 2026.

This is a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, commitment and collaboration from an amazing team who put their hearts and souls into everything they do for our children and families and I couldn’t be more grateful and proud that this was recognised amongst the community.

This honour is not the end but only the beginning of the next part of our journey as we continue to work and grow and provide the best education and care for all our children and support for their families.

While Ashleigh couldn’t be there in person to celebrate with the team, she was there in spirit and a FaceTime call allowed her to join the celebrations.

Congratulations Emma!

At the Central Coast Local Business Awards last night, we dressed up and went out as a team to celebrate our educators and fantastic preschool.

We were so proud, excited, happy, and honoured to support Emma as she won the Central Coast Most Outstanding Youth Award!!

Emma’s journey from a shy and quiet 15-year-old school-based trainee to winning the Central Coast Most Outstanding Youth Award is truly inspiring. Her dedication to her education and professional development, from completing her Certificate 3 in Children’s Services alongside her HSC to pursuing her Diploma of Children’s Services, is commendable.

Emma's achievements are a source of pride for all of us at Bright Start. We are truly fortunate to have her as part of our team.

Munch and Move Champions!

We were amazed to be recognised by Central Coast Health Promotions as being a Munch and Move Champion for our active and ongoing participation in the Munch and Move program since inception in 2008.

Promoting physical and nutritional health in all children aligns with our philosophies and encourages children to develop positive life long habits around food and exercise.

The Central Coast Mariners Visted

We took part in the Move Like a Mariner program through Central Coast Area Health and were lucky enough to have a visit from the whole team!

It was a very fun afternoon!
