Welcome to the Bright Start Family!
We would like to extend a special welcome to you and your family. We are truly excited for you to join us for preschool and look forward to supporting your child’s growth and development as part of our community.
All necessary steps have been taken to process your Centrelink entitlements, if you are eligible, as well as to fulfil our legal obligations. However, there are a few final actions required from you to ensure your enrolment is fully complete.
To finalise your enrolment and confirm the details we have provided on your behalf, please complete the following tasks. It is important to note that if these tasks are not completed, no subsidy will be allocated to your account and you will be charged the full fees. Subsidies are only applicable from the date you confirm all required tasks and unfortunately cannot be backdated to your starting date if confirmation occurs later.
If you have not yet attended an orientation, please let us know when you would like to visit. We invite you to come in for a play and to look around, giving you and your child the opportunity to become familiar with our environment before their first day.
1. Download the Owna App
- From your app store, search for and download the OWNA App or click on the links below for either apple or android operating systems.
- Your username and login details will be sent to you from Owna (please check your spam file - just in case!)
- Open the app and log in with your username and password
- Your PIN is for signing in and out each day (we will show you this on your first day, and each person collecting your child needs their own PIN)
If you have difficulties with your details not being recognised, please contact us so we can check your email address and resend a password to you.
2. Complete Complying Written Agreement (CWA) for Child Care Subsidy
- Open the Owna app
- Click on the three lines on the left to open the menu
- Select your child’s name to open their profile
- Select the three dots icon on the right side of the screen
- Select “Sign CWA” at the bottom of the pop up list
- Read the document and check the bookings and fees
- If all information is correct, sign in the box and click submit.
If any information is incorrect please let us know so we can amend it for you. You will need to complete this process for each child you are enrolling.
3. Child Care Subsidy Tasks
- On the Centrelink Express Plus app or on the my.gov.au website complete any outstanding CCS tasks.
- If there are no outstanding tasks, please wait 24 hours and check back as there may be a slight delay with the data transfer
This step needs to be done prior to commencement to allocate your subsidies to your account. Subsidies can only be applied back to the date you confirm tasks and full fees will be applicable until you have completed this step.

PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS BROUGHT TO PRESCHOOL We ask that you refrain from bringing in any toys to eliminate any chance of losing or breaking this item. If you have not yet visited for orientation, please let us know so we can arrange a time for you to visit to meet the educators and become familiar with Bright Start before your first day. This is an important part of the enrolment process for both yourself and your child and also allows us to help make the transition from home to preschool a smooth one.
